Request deletion from ReCap
To request deletion of identifiable information held in connection with ReCap, email privacy@recapapp.co.uk.
Email a deletion requestPlease include, where available:
- The email address you previously used to contact ReCap support.
- Your ReCap app version.
- Your device model and Android version.
- The approximate date and time of a crash, error report or support contact.
What can be deleted?
ReCap will delete identifiable support correspondence and other identifiable information held directly by ReCap where reasonably possible, unless it must be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution reasons.
ReCap uses Firebase Crashlytics for technical diagnostics. Crashlytics reports are generally pseudonymous and may not contain enough information to identify a particular person or locate an individual report. Where a report cannot reasonably be matched to you, it may not be possible to delete it individually. Google states that Crashlytics crash data and associated identifiers are retained for 90 days before the removal process begins.
What ReCap does not store on its servers

- You may be asked for limited information needed to locate relevant records and verify the request.
- Identifiable data that can reasonably be located will be deleted or anonymised unless retention is legally required.
- You will be told the outcome of the request.
